I think it would be a good idea to be able to see your messages (rather than just see how many you have).  I am just saying this would be good because I am not a Gold subscriber (I have the gamertag HalfBrian that I play with, but when I tryed to link it, it said I was too young, so I created FullBrian and sent friend requests to my closest friends)

    Re: Messages

im not sure this would be worth the effort.. i would only see that this would be needed to save time or clicks or something when viewing the messages, the best way i could see this working from a software standpoint is to create some sort if 'inbox' but it will would be easier, to just link to the direct messages (maybe you could do that, if theres only one message, link right to the message, if theres  more then one, then your message page)

but overall i don't think it would be worth the effort to acctually 'see' the messages without just going to the page, since there is only click access there.

I'm going to have to side with e1bweb for the time being.  It would be very cool to incorporate some of these features directly within the application; however, due to resources and such having quick access to those via a click allows work to be focused elsewhere's.

    Re: Messages

I was just throwing it out there, as I said, I don't need it personally.  Although it would be nice when it says "_ new messages" for there to be a link next to it (or it being a link) that forwards you to the message page

The newest version (0.0.0.28) should now show a "hand" cursor when moving over the message waiting text.

    Re: Messages

New features added to .36 include sending messages directly inside of XBF.  As time progresses, I'll be incorporating even more messaging features, including the possibility of an "inbox" sort of feature.
